Code of Conduct

AgentEng is dedicated to providing a harassment-free, inclusive experience for everyone.

Our Commitment

The Agent Engineering Conference is committed to being a welcoming, inclusive space for practitioners of all backgrounds. We believe that a diverse community of engineers, researchers, and builders creates better conversations and better outcomes for everyone. This Code of Conduct outlines our expectations for participant behavior and the consequences for unacceptable conduct.

Core Principles

Be Respectful

Treat everyone with respect. Participate while acknowledging that everyone deserves to be here and has valuable perspectives to share.

Be Inclusive

Seek diverse perspectives. Diversity of views and people powers innovation. Encourage all voices and listen actively.

Be Professional

Remember that this is a professional event. Conduct yourself professionally and be mindful of your words and actions.

Expected Behavior

Participate authentically and actively, contributing to the community

Exercise consideration and respect in your speech and actions

Attempt collaboration before conflict

Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior

Be mindful of your surroundings and fellow participants

Alert conference organizers if you notice violations or someone in distress

Unacceptable Behavior

The following behaviors are considered harassment and are unacceptable:

  • •Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form
  • •Verbal abuse, offensive comments, or personal attacks
  • •Unwelcome sexual attention or inappropriate physical contact
  • •Sustained disruption of talks, workshops, or other events
  • •Publishing others' private information without consent
  • •Advocating for or encouraging any of the above behaviors

Consequences

Unacceptable behavior from any community member, including sponsors and those with decision-making authority, will not be tolerated. Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behavior is expected to comply immediately.

If a participant engages in unacceptable behavior, the conference organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including a temporary ban or permanent expulsion from the conference without warning or refund.

Reporting

If you experience or witness unacceptable behavior, or have any other concerns, please report it by contacting the conference organizers as soon as possible.

All reports will be handled with discretion. In your report, please include:

  • • Your contact information
  • • Names of any individuals involved
  • • Description of the behavior and circumstances
  • • Any additional context or supporting information

This Code of Conduct is adapted from the Contributor Covenant and the Conference Code of Conduct.
